What is the key role of Nitrogen Generator in the production of high-purity nitrogen?

Nitrogen generators separate oxygen and other impurities from the air through physical methods such as adsorbent (molecular sieve) adsorption or membrane separation to obtain high-purity nitrogen. This high-purity nitrogen is widely used in many industries, such as chemical, electronic, medical, testing, and food and beverage. Common requirements for nitrogen purity are 99.5%, 99.9%, 99.99%, 99.999%, etc., and nitrogen generators can meet these different purity requirements.
The working principle of nitrogen generators mainly includes adsorbent adsorption and membrane separation. The adsorbent adsorption method separates oxygen from the air through the principle of selective adsorption, while the membrane separation method uses the difference in gas molecular size to separate oxygen and nitrogen through special membrane materials. Both technologies can effectively ensure the purity of nitrogen.
Compared with the traditional liquid nitrogen supply method, nitrogen generators can directly produce nitrogen on site without the need to transport and store liquid nitrogen in large quantities. This not only reduces energy consumption and transportation costs, but also helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions, achieving energy conservation and environmental protection.
The high-purity nitrogen from nitrogen generators plays an important role in multiple industries. In the oil and gas industry, it can be used for explosion-proof safety, gas protection, inflation and gas propulsion, and gas purification to improve the safety and stability of the production process. In the medical and laboratory fields, high-purity nitrogen is used to protect the stability of samples and equipment and ensure the accuracy of experimental results.
