READ MOREHow does an oxygen generator work?
The working principle of the oxygen generator relies on a technology called molecular sieve adsorption, which can effectively extract and purify oxygen from the air. Specifically, the oxygen generator contains several key components, including an adsorption column filled with molecular sieve material and a gas delivery system.
During the operation of the oxygen generator, air is fed into the adsorption column through the gas delivery system. The molecular sieve material in the adsorption column has specific adsorption properties that can adsorb nitrogen and other unwanted components in the air while allowing oxygen to pass through. This selective adsorption is based on the difference in the affinity of the molecular sieve material for different gas molecules, allowing oxygen molecules to pass through the adsorption column relatively easily, while nitrogen and other impurities are adsorbed in the column.
As oxygen molecules are enriched in the adsorption column, the oxygen generator adjusts the pressure conditions to carry out the regeneration process of the adsorbent. In this process, by changing the pressure in the adsorption column, the nitrogen and other impurities adsorbed in the column will be released, thereby achieving the regeneration of the adsorbent and enabling it to be used again for oxygen extraction.
The released nitrogen and other impurities need to be treated through an exhaust system to reduce the impact on the environment. At the same time, pure oxygen will be transported to where it is needed, such as medical facilities, industrial production lines, etc., through the gas delivery system.
In addition to molecular sieve adsorption technology, oxygen generators may also use other principles to produce oxygen, such as electrolytic decomposition principle and membrane separation principle. These different principles have their own characteristics and applicable scenarios, but they are all aimed at providing high-purity oxygen supply.
On the one hand, oxygen generators extract and purify oxygen from the air through molecular sieve adsorption technology. Its working principle is based on the selective adsorption of different gas molecules by molecular sieve materials. This technology enables continuous production of oxygen and is efficient, reliable and cost-effective. On the other hand, oxygen generators also treat the waste gas generated through the emission system to reduce the impact on the environment.
